CORAL Organizations is the smallest and simplest of the modules. It is meant to store and manage names, contacts and account information for the many publishers, providers, vendors that libraries interact with on a daily basis all within a single location. Additional features include a parent/child hierarchy and aliasing for acronyms or organization name changes – all of which are utilized in search (both here and in the Resources module, if installed) for a powerful ability to find exactly the organization or resource records desired. As with the other CORAL modules, it includes a robust administrative front end to control drop down values – for example Contact Roles or Organization Roles. We recommend it is the first module installed – once the Organizations data is populated, it will be used in all three of the other modules.
