The Steering Committee has grouped our development priorities around the most commonly used modules to make the best use of our limited development resources. We will make each CORAL module the focus of a major CORAL over the next 3 – 4 years. These updates will focus on modernizing workflows and launching new features.

CORAL Foundations (2025 – 2026)

  • Modernize the CORAL UI to increase accessibility and meet WCAG compliance (Complete 2025, work provided by Equinox Open Library Initiative)
  • Update the requirements for PHP for increased system security (Complete, 2026)
  • Make the Installer more user friendly to encourage regularly updating CORAL instances (Complete 2026)

Resources Module (2026)

  • Refactor existing code to begin reducing duplication across the modules and modernize PHP coding practices.
  • Deepen ILS and KB Integration Possibilities
